The last few days have been spent doing very little. If we have not been on the beach we have been by one of the seven pools or eating in one of the four very nice restaurants in the resort. Temperature wise it has been in the mid 30s all week which took a little getting used to. Fortunately our room is air conditioned so sleeping is very comfortable.

We have been very fortunate with the weather as during the day it has remained fine and sunny. In the evenings there has been some rain and a few very impressive lightening storms off the coast. Due to the number of things to do within the resort we have not gone into town yet but over the next couple of days we are planning to jump on a mini-bus and take a look around the island.

Tourist numbers seem way down, the plane from London was practically empty and there is perhaps only thirty guests staying in the resort. This is probably a combination of factors; the tsunami, some bird flu warnings and the beginning of the rainy season. We are not complaining however as it has meant lots of attention from the boundless numbers of hotel staff and lots of seating choice on the beach or by the pools.
